Hello all!
I have been using Hetzner's email service with their webhosting product. https://www.hetzner.com/webhosting/ I'm very surprised to see that it's not mentioned here at all. So far, deliverability has been great (I'm using it for personal messages only). The price is basically impossible to beat 50Gb and 100 mailboxes for 5 USD a month ? Not to mention that I'm also hosting a couple of sites with this product. Has anyone seen any drawbacks with them? Any idea why it's not mentioned more often? machocam |

Every hosting company has email products.
And there are thousands of hosting companies on the world. |

That is true, in general these services are quite limited and delivery is not great. I have found that Hetzner is actually pretty great. Are hosing companies not recommended for personal email in general ? |

The site says "unlimited mailboxes" and not "100 mailboxes".
Other than the word "mailboxes" I cannot find any information about mail services in the site. It doesn't say what is included in a "mailbox". what are limitations per "mailbox". What protocols are available to mange email. What software is used to operate these protocols. What webmail options are available, if any. Most of the info on the site seems targeted at IT professionals. |

- Webmail is a utilitarian version of roundcube - IMAP is supported - No indication on limits of outgoing or inbound email I hate webmail; neomutt // thunderbird all the way. Also, I'm not using this for mass emailing. So far it's amazing - no issues. The added benefit is that for the same price you can run php sites (eg. dokuwiki, Leantime, freshrss and others). |
