Cool My Favorite Email Provider...

My favorite Email provider is Net@ddress ( http://www.netaddress.com ). Net@ddress has a nice layout, where everything is easily accessable, and it is fast. I have used it for a while now and have experienced NO problems at all. There all also many low cost extra features, too. Then again, why take advice from a guy who enjoys recieving spam once in a while? I also sign up for every mailing list I see. It is an easy way to keep up with current events.

This one's older. As it is thread number 1 I thought it is the oldest thread, but thread number 2 is older. Strange!

I don't know if usa.net is still around?

Keep in mind that such domain can trigger mixed reactions outside of the USA. Some people here in Europe adore everything American and dream of moving there, or see the USA as a role model country. But there are also people, especially in recent decades, who have negative sentiments about the country. So the domain could trigger mixed reactions.

To me it would simply indicate someone lives in the USA or likes the USA. But not everyone would see it that way. We're living in polarised societies these days, and that applies to many countries around the world. In that perspective, the more neutral your email domain is, the better, unless you don't care that much how other people interpretate your email address.

I personally would only stay away from very political services such as RiseUp or Autistici. And if I'd ever get involved with politics, I'd rather register my own domain.

Wasn't Earthlink an ISP? I remember the name from the good old days, that service has been around for a very very long time. Probably one of the older email services that survived the hands of time?

No favorites here. I use an email client, rarely use Web or App. I only want email, no extras. I use POP3.

If I had to pick, I'd go with GMX.com. They notify you when you have spam. So I can use the App and check if spam or ham. Don't get a lot of spam at GMX.

Unlike Yahoo, who puts a lot in Spam. I need to check every day using the App for spam. Marking as "Not Spam" does nothing. Same "Not Spam" keep showing up. Most are from a Claws Mail mailing list.

USA.net belongs to Netaddress.com. It was a nice email service in the past, I know a few people were using it. But for now I don't know its running status.

Earthlink.net is a ISP. its email was popular in the past as well. maybe like comcast.net in now days. I don't know its recent status too.

GMX (even the com for worldwide users) has too main issues,

1. strict risk control. acct is easy to be deleted.
2. if you send email from non-EU locations either with webmail or PC clients, messages will be routed with a gateway IP with bad score. and this message will be masked as spam in most recipient mailboxes.

Had an account for many years. No issues. Granted I rarely send anything via this account it's all mostly receive.

Incoming mail is always easy.

"E-Mail made in Germany"
Listen to what the Germans themselves have to say. And if you want to experience the frustration of having your account permanently locked on a beautiful day (Gmail still offers an appeal option), then go ahead and try it.

There are still a few German email services out there that are worth every penny.
