Fastmail being used as spam source

In the last couple of days several people have reported to me that fastmail is being used as a spam source and are being spammed after sending me emails

Also a forum provider has booted one of my family member's accounts saying that the domain used (an FM domain) is associated with spamming.

Obviously I've not been on here for a while, but would appreciate it if someone could give me the low-down on this.

Thanks

With the information provided it's not obvious whether the allegedly fastmail-based spammer's address is genuine or fake.

I think if people are getting spam they can report it to the source of spam using a service like Spamcop.net, and then the source of spam can deal with it if they want (be it FastMail or any other source).Complaining about received spam without any accurate header information (or at least some info that can help the source identify the problem) is worthless.

So you have a virus on your computer, and it picks up addresses from people who mail you?
