simple sample emacs gnus configs needed
hi, i have been trying to configure gnus on emacs to access my fastmail.fm account. i have seen this link already
http://www.fastmail.fm/docs/imap/gnus.htm and have been able to follow the directions for logging on, although i am not sure this is correct - when i use the .authinfo format provided there, gnus tries to log me in as MYUSERID@fastmail.fm@mail.messagingengine.com, thus prompting me for the password once again. and also i cannot seem to configure gnus to send mail - snippets i see on the web using the standard smtpmail package with gnus do not seem to cover authenticated smtp is it possible for anyone using gnus to post their configs, of course with personal information taken out. i just need to see something that works. thanks! |

I'd like to find this out myself. Specifically too, how to navigate to my numerous subfolders underneath my INBOX.
Anyone able to provide info who's using gnus with their Fastmail account? Thanks. |

One thing, try myuserid#fastmail.fm, the two @'s may be confusing it.
Apart from that, not sure sorry... Rob |

Don't forget to subscribe to your folders. In the *Group*-buffer, press U and the folders should be called something like nnimap+Fastmail.fm:INBOX.Sent . (You might have to press A A first to tell gnus to fetch all available groups).
