Photoshop mass resize
Is it possible to do a resize of multiple images in Photoshop ( I mean to reduce the kb size not the cm size).
Actually is it possible to do a mass resize in cm - say in %age terms? Cheers Larry |

Don't think you would want to do that. Reducing the size means alot for a graphic file. It will be less rich in colors and probably become blurry. The bigger the size the better the picture.

You can save them in another format and/or with less colors - use the Save As feature.

Not sure about Photoshop. I'm a PSP user myself (although I did use PS in the past I find PSP to be much more comfortable to work with for my purposes).
In PSP it's easy: Record Macro. Image -> Resize Resize by, say, 75% OK Stop Record Save macro as script File -> Batch -> Process... Select the script you just recorded Select the directory you want to process. I can't seem to find the possibility to resize in Photoshop CS, apart from the Photobook/Gallery thing in the File->Export->Process menu. You could use the thumbnails generated by that ... perhaps. --K |

As Kander mentioned - you should be able to use a batch processing command - which should resize and/or re-format the images you want to use. I use Fireworks and it does this - very useful function.
I also have Photoshop Elements - which came with my PC. I know its not PS, but it uses a subset of PS's features and it does have a batch capability - so I'm sure PS will have the same function. Look for a 'batch' type command and read up on how it works would be my advice. Hope that helps, AlexR |

Get the "ulead smartsaver pro" plugin for photoshop... it will get the job done more efficiently.
