Does my site appear normal to you?
As some of you will know I have been creating my own site.
It is coming on well on the whole but I was dismayed to find that although it looks very nice on my account and browser on Win XP when I showed it to my father on his account on the same pc (and using the same browser) the pages had gone wrong. Fonts were big, links looked weird etc, all very upsetting for yours truely. Could you please have a look at my page and tell me how it looks to you? If possible take a screen shot and send it to me at the address given on the site (so long as it is not a big file). I have decided to put this question in a separate thread to my 'creating a website is' thread so that when I have a few replies I can delete the post and erase links to my site and hence email address. As a sweetener - if you do this you will discover my real name!!!! Larry http://leisuresuit.fateback.com/ |

Hey mate,
Hows it going? I know how annoying it can be designing a website with several different OS platforms and browsers in mind. However your site looks fine with Internet Explorer 6 on Windows 98. Very nice site for a moderately experienced webdesigner. If your still a beginner then well done!! Just a suggestion - change the html on the index to include a page title. An example - <html> <head> <title>*Untitled</title> *Change to whatever you want the page to be called* Cheers, have a good one. Dan |

Larry,
The site looks fine to me (IE6 Windows 2000 Professional) Would you like to have your picture included on the EMD Photo Page? Dave |

Sure, how do i do that? Can you think why it looks strange on my fathers account on the same computer? Larry |

Thanks Stormcrow - I had been wondering how to do that for the last couple of days, but never got round to having a good look for it as something always came up.

I also notice you have some bravenet coding at the top of the site. This can also cause problems and if its possible to add it at the bottom of the page it might help. Anyway there just some suggestions. Cheers, Dan |

Everything looks fine on Mozilla 1.4 except the News part which could do with some linespacing. By the way seeing that most of us are so paranoid about protecting our favourite email id, isnt it rather unwise to put your email addy on the site without any masking or scrambling ? You will find some scrambling tools linked on EMD page.

Larry, Vey nice site
![]() I see in your source that you have the line height for the "news" section set to 10px. You might want to change that to something a bit bigger, that way the lines won't overlap each other. Hanneke |
