Anyone able to get in to Phoenix webmail?
No problems with AOL Phoenix pop3, but just tried to log in to the webmail interface for the first time in I don't know how long, and it gave me the "oops, something zigged when it should have zagged" error message, then kicked me out back to the login page.
I was just curious to see what has become of it, since it seems to have been orphaned and left for dead :p Slightly O/T - they seem to have stopped letting people sign up for the pretty new domains they were offering with Phoenix, too - when you click the signup button there now you just get boring old aol.com, no choice :( |
I have no problem logging in at http://mail.aol.com
And we will see what domains they choose to offer in the new "disruptive" mail product AOL has in planning. |
Thanks kaptitsky! I guess only the phoenix subsite's login is messed up. Figures :)

See this 6 month's old thread: Project Phoenix is Dead.

One lovely thing about AOL is that don't abandon users lightly.
I still have addresses on Tunome domains that are functioning, and still can receive mail to my Netscape.Net addresses, both long lost projects from AOL. I don't expect AOL to abandon Phoenix users either, even as the dedicated Project Phoenix bits start to decay. (And, as I write this, I again think about how awful a name Phoenix was, so grand and pretentious that there was really no way it could not fail to achieve its purpose, the rebirth of AOL. Oh, well.) |
