Relax, man!

You look very angry and are not using the words very well.

You should 1st know what happened and then, maybe, use the word "STOLE".

I'm sure this kind of thing does not happens on Fastmail since I use the system (1 year). And before it probably does not, too.

You posted your message in the right place. Take easy, in few hours your problem will be explained and probably resolved, but not for me, because I'm only a customer here.

Kinda harsh words before checking things out...Click on the BW below your folders. In that screen, click on "detailed breakdown" to the right of Monthly bandwidth used:. That will show each days bandwidth used. Hopefully you'll find the explanation there. If not, post back and someone may have another idea.
Welcome to the forum

I'm not sure where you got the figure 130mb? Members get 80MB and Full get 200MB a month.

You purchased extra bandwidth and used it. Whatever is not used is taken to the next month. That which is used is taken out for the next month... It's only a one-time thing, unlike purchasing more disk space.

Onno, I think you have the explanation; I suspect that aristeo is confusing the bandwidth allowance for his(?) membership level with purchased bandwidth; an easy mistake to make, methinks.

For the benefit of anyone reading this who may be confused about FM bandwidth, there are two types:

1) Monthly bandwidth allowance, which is 40Mb-750Mb per month depending on membership level, and any not used at the end of the month expires;

2) Purchased bandwidth, which doesn't expire, but is used up (if purchased) if the user goes over the standard monthly allowance.  (If a user goes over the standard bandwidth, and hasn't purchased any extra, their account is locked until they get extra bandwidth, either by purchase or by reaching the end of the month.)

See the pricing table for details.

I think there's some confusion there. In the pricing table it's called "Transfer". In the UI it's called "Bandwidth". A lot of people have never heard of bandwidth before so they may not associate the two. The more important and, I think, more misleading is it saying "(never expires)" for the extra. The regular price says "(expires at the end of each month)". I think it would make more sense if the extra bandwidth said something like ("unused" amount will be moved to the next month) instead of (never expires). Just IMHO.

Perhaps an even better way to describe purchased bandwidth (at least here in the UK) would be to say that it "rolls over".  Due to the National Lottery, over here we're all familiar with that term!

I dont wish to be a wise-guy Rob, but the 'role over' continues every month until the money is won.

Using it in this case would thus mislead the unfortunate user into exactly the mistake made by our friend in the circumstances discussed above.

Not really. I was thinking people might think the "whole thing" would Roll Over. Unless "Roll Over" replaced the word "Move" to the next month.

Well, I suppose if I am confused and you are uncertain then I might have had a point after all.

However having made several bone comments in the space of 15 mins, I will now retire to bed.

I like your wording. I read the next thread s/he started and even posted in that one. I know that was wrong to do but I'm having fun bouncing back and forth between the two.
