is fastmail down?

Hi,

I have been unable to connect to fastmail servers (IMAP, webmail) from the UK for about 5 mins. Anyone else with this problem?

edit: https://www.fastmailstatus.com shows a general availability problem.

It is almost impossible for a transitory power outage to cause a problem. A number of years ago, there was an issue where, after primary backup power was exhausted during a major outage by the power utility, servers were brought down because the emergency generators failed. Actions were taken to prevent a recurrence.

Usually, an outage affecting some users is caused by a network failure, often at an ISP not under the control of Fastmail or NYI.
