Thunderbird problem
I was hoping someone could help me. When I try to set up my fastmail account in Thunderbird I am unable to get my folders to synchronize. I am setting it up exaclty how is described in the help section. Thanks.

It is checked. I also just installed Thunderbird on my Mac, I usually use Mail, and it worked fine. Very strange.

Could you post a link to the help section?
The "Optional: Sync your Offline Database" section in http://16mail.com/docs/imap/thunderbird3.htm doesn't belong in an article for Thunderbird 3 IMHO. Thunderbird 3.0 and later has a "keep messages for this account on this computer" setting in tools -> account settings -> synchronization & storage. It doesn't depend upon your webmail account settings, just that you have a IMAP account. The article describes a older feature - how to sync offline folders when you switch to working offline. That should still work, but you're better off using the newer feature because making certain that a feature that they're essentially obsoleting still works will probably be low on their list of priorities. |

That option was checked. I tried it checked and unchecked and neither worked. It is just isn't finding any of my folders when I click on Subscribe and then Refresh.

Does tools -> account settings -> synchronization & storage -> advanced list those folders?
Is tools -> account settings -> synchronization & storage -> disk space -> "synchronize all messages locally regardless of age" checked? If none of that helps you might try 3.1RC2 from http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-U...ses/downloads/ |
