The raft must have atleast been WIDE enough to accomodate the three people, one man and two adolescent boys, and the provisions they brought with them.

A WIRE just came in, with a throwback to one of our previous subjects:Superman reclaims supremacy over Batman

David 31 Mar 2010 03:02 PM

When times are dire it is (imo) the Silver Surfer who reigns supreme!

I assumed the Batman vs Superman story would be just a short-lived distraction, but it seems we DIVE into the superheroes theme again....

SusanUKF 1 Apr 2010 11:30 AM

Let us not forget our Super Heroine DIVA, Wonder Woman, as well!

n5bb 1 Apr 2010 12:42 PM

What phone number do we DIAL to get a super-diva to come to our aid?

janusz 1 Apr 2010 03:34 PM

You can look it up on the web, no big DEAL.... Doesn't WWW stand for Wonder Woman's Website?;)

bramhall 1 Apr 2010 08:02 PM

What's the proper form of address when writing (or speaking) to WonderWoman? Will a plain "Dear WonderWoman" do?

SusanUKF 2 Apr 2010 11:13 AM

Does anyone remember the cartoon Underdog? The famous line that sticks out in my head from that cartoon is: "Never FEAR,Underdog is here!"

He was a dog super hero, I loved that cartoon. For addressing Wonder Woman.. hmmm.. good question!

Ok, so we're back into poetry .....
Quote:

When criminals in this world appear,
And break the laws that they should fear,
And frighten all who see or hear,
The cry goes up both far and NEAR for...
Underdog!

SusanUKF 3 Apr 2010 02:31 AM

Underdog's DEAR girlfriend was cute too, Sweet Polly Purebred.

Many of these super-hero's seem to have a *damsel in distress* in them that they are continually rescuing; such as Underdog's Polly, and Superman's Lois Lane.

n5bb 4 Apr 2010 03:24 AM

I HEAR you.

janusz 4 Apr 2010 03:33 AM

I've been trying HARD to come up with a follow-up post related to damsels in general, and those in distress in particular, but my mind has gone blank (not an unusual event...)

n5bb 4 Apr 2010 07:57 AM

Maybe we should WARD off damsels in distress, since they seem to get involved with super-villains before the super-heroes arrive.
